Pattern Overview

The Brittle Ice Scarf features the Hurdle stitch, which is a 4-row repeat.

This scarf is knit from tip to tip with DK-weight merino wool.

It begins at the narrowest point, and the stitches are increased along one edge; then a straight section in the middle is worked, and then the stitches are decreased along the same edge to the other tip.

The first and last 2 stitches form an i-cord edging, which makes the edges look neat and prevents them from curling.
