Pattern Overview
The Pure Silver Scarf features a simple textured stitch pattern – alternating sections of 1×1 rib and garter stitch. The pattern is an 8-row repeat.
The scarf is knit with two strands of yarn held together – DK-weight merino wool and lace-weight mohair. Adding a strand of mohair creates a soft halo and makes the scarf cozier and warmer.
This triangular scarf is knit from end to end. It begins at the narrowest point, and the stitches are increased along one edge until you reach the halfway point, then you decrease the stitches along the same edge to the other tip.
The first and last 3 stitches form an i-cord edging, which makes the edges look neat and prevents them from curling.
This scarf is a great match for the Pure Silver Headband.

k – knit.
sl – slip stitch as if to purl with yarn in front.
m1R – make 1 right: with the left needle, pick up the strand between the stitches from back to front, and knit it through the front loop.
p – purl.
ssk – slip 1 stitch knitwise, slip the next stitch knitwise, return the 2 stitches back to the left needle, knit those 2 stitches together through the back loops.
* * – repeat the instructions between the asterisks the number of times specified.
