Pattern Overview

The Rose Buds Headband features the Andalusian stitch. The headband is knit in the round with sport-weight yarn, and it is double-layered.

The headband is started using a provisional cast-on. Using a crochet hook and scrap yarn, you will provisionally cast on the required number of stitches.

Next, you will knit a long tube until you reach your desired length.

Then you will twist the tube to create the decorative twist and seam the cast-on and bind-off edges together using the Kitchener stitch, and there will be no visible seams.

If you don’t want to do the provisional cast-on, you can cast on stitches using the Long-tail cast-on. When you finish knitting the tube, you will bind off the stitches, twist the headband, and seam the edges together using the mattress stitch.
